Seven Springs Pennsylvania in the Laurel Highlands Region offers many exciting attractions to travelers throughout the year. The major attractions are the winter sports available at this scenic mountain resort. Voted Ski Magazine’s #1 Ski Resort in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Seven Springs has 14 slopes for downhill skiing and 17 groomed trails for cross-country skiing. The widest range of terrain and lifts in the state of Pennsylvania are found here, along with 275 acres that are available for skiing, snow tubing, sledding, snowboarding and wintertime fun. The mountain features the front side, North Face area, separate beginner learn to ski area, and a well maintained half pipe and terrain park. Located inside the resort are bowling, miniature golf, swimming, game rooms and arcades and roller-skating. This mega resort also boasts a lodge hotel, restaurants, bars, lounges, a shopping gallery and a movie theater. You will never run out of things to do while visiting Seven Springs – even if snow skiing isn’t your thing. If you visit in summer, the list of attractions and activities is equally as impressive as wintertime. Choose from mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, hunting and white water rafting. Golf is almost as popular at Seven Springs as snow skiing. A spectacular 18-hole golf course stands majestically atop the Laurel Mountains offering breathtaking views of the countryside. Anyone who enjoys a good game of golf will love spending time on this course. Dozens of other golf courses are also found in the surrounding area.

Although you could spend days happily at Seven Springs and never run out of things to do, the other areas of the Laurel Highlands region offer a lot for visitors, as well. Over a dozen state parks are here – including Laurel Summit State park which is a popular scenic area at an elevation of 2,739 feet with a breathtaking view of Laurel Ridge. A short drive takes you to Conemaugh River Lake and Crooked Creek Lake, which both offer fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking and hunting. The Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail is a 70-mile hiking and backpacking trail that follows Laurel Ridge from the Youghiogheny River at Ohiopyle to the Conemaugh Gorge near Johnstown. It’s open year round and there are eight overnight shelter areas along the trail.

If you are not athletically inclined and thinking Seven Springs might not be for you – think again. The area is a cultural and historical banquet. Visit historical sites going back to the French & Indian War, visit a museum or explore and photograph the dozen beautiful covered bridges in the area. The Laurel Highlands is a shopper’s paradise – overflowing with antique stores, arts & crafts, outlets, magnificent malls, and unique finds – even old fashioned general stores. When you get hungry, you’ll find everything from fast food to fine dining in the Seven Springs region. This is a jam-packed area of recreation and sightseeing for everyone and one of the most diverse regions found in the East.
